Default alot of play in both front wheels

so putting on my new wheels today, i put my hands at 9 and 3, and tested for play.. I could move the wheel about 10* degrees left and right...both wheels with it jacked up in the air....

is this causing my car to pull the the left? what needs to be replaced

oh sorry, forgot to say, it does this without the wheels on talking about the spindle, it can wiggle back and forth a few degrees.

Look and see if your steering wheel is moving when you do that. It should be. No need to replace anything.

The upper arm doesn't have anything to do with this. It's either the tie rod, streering "box"or a bushing in the LCA.

...or a bearing as stated. That would be one really bad bearing.

ok after driving 150 miles to drop my girlfriend (ex now) off in a remote field after she cheated on me, on the way back, i noticed "squishy" suspension. It was sounding like squishy bed. also parked, i wiggled the steering wheel a bit at a certain spot, and it sounded almost like my axle boot was rubbing (yet another squishy sound). Hitting larger bumps in the road results in the squishy sound too. part of my problem? sucks because i have to drive my car lots...i may try a diy alignment, but i have a feeling its another suspension part that i dont know of...i know engines and body/electrical, but not suspension, so sorry guys. But thanks for everybodys input!!!!!

You said both wheels with it (I assumed car) in the air.

check:

for camber deflection:
balljoints
wheel bearings

for toe deflection:
tie rod ends
rack / pinion

for in/out deflection:
wheel bearing

this is what is causing ur car to pull to one side.
