depends on how far. if it's less than a foot you'll be fine with normal 16awg wire.

if it's more than that I'd use shielded wire for the O2 signal part of it.

its more than a foot..I had swapped in an H22 and the bung for the O2 sensor is on the downpipe on the header compared to the single cam wich is on the top of the manifold..so I just need to extend it that far...

just use 16 gauge wire shielded or buy an extension harness

you can pull the wires out of the loom and they will reach with no problem...

Without going that way... the extension harness is the easiest way to go.

DIY version...
the white wire has to be shielded, mic wire from Radioshat works great. Connect the shield to the existing shield. The other three wires can be extended with simple 16awg wire.

if he extends it, wont that add more resistance, and if i heard right, they work by resistance.

the O2 sensor is:
a 0-1V signal
ground for the O2 signal is ground.
power for the O2 heater
Control for O2 heater from ECU

As long as you're not using wire nuts and house wiring you'll be fine. The only sensors that are critical about lengthening are the distributor signals, and even they are workable.
