say i was to get a jdm itr cluster, and then install it into my 2000 teg GS
should the temp gauge and gas gauge work fine?
also if its out of a jdm 2000 itr, should it have cruise lights and all?

alright ill post my reasons why i made this as a bump.
i have a cluster i ordered off ebay. i hooked it all up, turned the key
and my temp gauge instantly read overheatxamillion.
my gas gauge i had some hope of cause i had a full tank. but after 160 Km it still reads full.
Also using my cruise control, there are zero lights indicating cruise.
other minor jazz is if i have my highbeams on and use the turn signal, the rpm gauge will bounce.
i thought it was a direct swap? or is it only into b18c's?

you sir, got hosed. the clusters plug right in, so, you either got a broken cluster, or its a crap knock off. Does it even say Honda anywhere on it?
I don't think you got "hosed" or the cluster is broken. I have seen this problem with two 2000 ITR clusters both USDM and JDM. Have you swapped the green cluster from your original piece with the green flim from the JDM cluster. This should fix your gas/temp problem. In my case the gas gauge went to zero and I have heard that more often then not.
Try swaping the film and see what happens. The high beam thing I have seen as well but only with 2000 ITR clusters I don't get it it's weird.

i dont think the cluster is broken. i dealt with this before. the jdm cluster plugs in but the wires are in different spots. you either have to get a diagram of the wires and relocate them, which i did, or just swap the green back board of the cluster to your old one. should work.

No....dont take off the green tape in the back. On the back, there are pins inside a clip. You have to replace either 3 to 5 of them you have to change. So you you said that you had a full tank.
So use your old cluster and follow the green sheet all the way back to the clip and change it with the location on your ITR Cluster. Its a real pain in the ***, but it is worth it. Just keep doing that until everything you have set is correct. Plus i Dont think you are going to have a cruise control light on your cluster cause i dont think the ITR came with one. My USDM ITR Cluster doesnt have one.
