Hey I just bought a 92 4 door teg with a B20. The motor has about 14,000 miles on it. OK the thing is that he told me about a clicking noise the motor does that he heared ever since he put the motor in. We started the car up and i herd the noise it sounds like a clicking/ nocking noise. He told me he had thought it was the valve cover so he bought a new ls head that he was gona install but never did. He included that with the car. Later on he thought it was the connecting rod but his mechanic is telling him its the head. I Dont want to rip apart the head and put a new one on for no reason if thats not it. I also dont wana buy a new connecting rod if thats not it and having to take the motor apart jus to instal it. He also had told me he moded the timing of the car to the gsr timing so Im thinking maybe becaase its off that thats wats causing that noise. If any one on here had this problem or knows wat it might be please please help me out!!! THANK YOU!

 

if u take it to someone that knows about motors, they will tell u for sure what it is, if i heard it i would know exactly where the noise is coming from.

 

If its like a light ticking noise, you might need to do a valve adjustment.
