How much did you pay for your susspension?
I talked to LesShwab today and they want $500 to install some Eibach Prokit springs. Just springs. I don't know, but this sounds like too much.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK THAT!!! dont pay that ****. i payed 120 to get mine put on. you can do it yourself as well but its a pain in the *** if your not mechanically inclined. but ya, dont pay that much. if you do decide to do it yourself, you will feel pretty good when you get it done. do get an alignment after though....whichever route you go.
damn i bought some 6 months used Tanabe Sustec Pros for $525. they were in excellent condition, and came in the original boxes. check out partstrader for good deals on suspension. and for that price, 500, you might find a set of real coilovers.
$500, are they kidding??? If a shop told me that I would bust out laughing in their face!!! That is like an insult on the intelligence if you ask me!!! I did my Teg Pro Kit and Koni Yellow myself, it is not very hard if you are even slightly mechanically inclined.
Honestly you shouldn't pay more than 150 to have them installed. I myself was quoted that price or higher, and I didn't feel like paying it. And I will tell you I'm no hardcore tech at all, and I put in springs and shocks(within a weeks time) on my 5th gen coupe. If you have an older car, be peprared to anti-sieze those bolts! On my passenger rear side one, I couldn't get it out and I had to go to a mechanic and he tells me after that the bolt was completely siezed in there. I also had power tools but barely used them, since they were hooked up to a big compressor and I'd never used it before and its my dads
. I say just use common sense and preferably the Helms manual, but the haynes does work, and go to work.
