I'm new to Civic. H22s are my thing but too heavy for a Civic. What do you all suggest? I'll have about $3000-4000 for next season.

d16z6 turbo?

Wrong.

Why is this even in this forum?

H22 isn't too heavy for a track civic? Either way, I can't afford to boost it.

No it's not. It shouldn't cost you anymore to turbo an h22 than a d16. Regardless, I wouldn't do either.

There was a thread some time ago, where someone actually weighed them. The H22 came out to something on the order of 50 lbs heavier than the B18C1. Hardly enough weight to worry over, and probably even less with an H2B conversion kit.

for that kind of money you might as well set your money on fire. 225-250whp simply isn't attainable reliably (on track) for $4000. if you're dead set on that power number, get a mustang. if anything, a d-series would be your best bet. the other motors carry too high a premium to allow you to throw together a kit and build the motor correctly for that kind of coin.
