i was wondering if its safe to road race a turbo b16b on a stock shortblock at 7psi (240whp) on a t3t4 bb turbo dyno tuned on crome, i know a lot of people drag race them but thats only 10-14 seconds of stress on a motor, i know the motor will be under high cylinder pressure for longer period of time on a road corse (streets of willow)
i also see people use race gas and make like 300-350whp (at 14-16 psi) on stock block b-series i dont mind doing this as its not my daily but same as above these people just drag race, can my motor handle that much power on a stock block tuned for race gas on a road corse?
when i say stock block i mean completely stock below the headgasket: stock rods, pistons, bearings, crank, sleeves, etc... thanks.

The answer is yes. The question is for how long. Clearly, exceeding the stock hp by 50% without changing anything in the bottom end is not a receipe for longevity. So how much time before you blew up the motor would seem worth it to you? Maybe that's a good place to start.
Not sure of my power, but i ran 15 psi, four track days this year on a stock everything single cam y8. I run uberdata, not that it matters.
I do use a wideband at all times, oil, water temp, and oil pressure. Also, i have an oil cooler.
