GSR tranny PROBLEMS!!!
so i own a 99 GSR and the last past couple days i notice my transmission been acting up it gets stuck in a gear, sometimes its kinda hard to shift into gears and i notice that the clutch release sooner then b4 i ask a couple people and they told me my transmission fluid is low so i replaced my transmission fluid and its doing the samething. Would bleeding the clutch make a diffrence? or is it something else i really need some help with this one cuz it sucks driving the car and i dont want my tranny to go out so thank and any advice would be appreciated

Yes....in my case it was the clutch master cylinder going out. If I pumped the pedal it would get better. I've been around and read this topic 50 times and its generally either the master/slave cylinder or the clutch going out. Very rarely is it something else.

Pour a little brake fluid into the clutch MC reservoir to make sure it's not low. Have somebody push the clutch in and out about 10-15 times then push it down and hold it down. While they're holding it, you loosen the bleed bolt on the slave cylinder on the tranny real quick and then tighten back up, while the guy is still pushing on the pedal. Make sure he doesn't let go before you retighten the bleed bolt or it will suck air into the line. Repeat until no more air bubbles come out of the bleed bolt, just straight fluid, and make sure you don't go low on fluid while pumping or you'll pump air in the line. It helps to attach a clear hose onto the nipple on the end of the bleed bolt, so that you can pour the fluid into a can/bottle easily without having it squirt everywhere and so you can see if any air bubbles are coming out.
