Default How to remove that yellow bulb inside the tail lights?

Well this is for the 94-95 (not sure if its the same with 96-97). Anyway, if you take a good look at both of your tail lights, you notice a fadish orange spot in the middle. How do I take that out exactly without having to disassemble the tail lights apart? People tell me to just stick in a thick stick into the circle hole and smash the orange bulb, then take out the broken pieces little by little. True?

Hmm... is step#57 the tail light itself or the trunk?

he took the whole taillight assembly out, so thats just the light. the problem with this is you need to check with your local codes about what color a rear turn signal can be. if it has to be orange, you need to find some of those stealth bulbs that are silver, but light up orange to stay compliant unless you dont care about getting pulled over. i was researching this type of mod when i was looking at jettas, same basic procedure, only the guy i found who did the write up on the jetta used a dremel tool with the drill type bit and just cut chunks out.

You have to break it up piece by piece and pull it out through the hole, I did it on my 96/97

i've done the same thing to my old integra, should be no different for a accord. all i did was pull off the lights, take the tail light off the body. then i used a screwdriver and put it inside the light hole where the ORANGE plastic piece was in and just kept smacking the end of the screw driver into the orange plasitc piece until it broke in pieces then pulled the pieces out with a very small vise, and for the smaller pieces that fit right through the light hole. i just held the tail light upside down and shook the pieces out. just becareful when you do it cause hard enough you can break or crack the outer lens.
