nah its definately no powerhouse
nah its definately no powerhouse
the reason for asking is that i just my turbo gsr tuned, now its got 9:1 comp pistons, and the initial tune netted 180whp. this is at 5psi and it was only tuned to 6k....would that sound around correct?
well its just the initial tune, the motor was just rebuild to its not gonna be fully tuned until its broken in. Also i am going to be pushing much more boost, im looking for 350ish whp

no idea on your buildup, but if you are going with all stock internals 350whp may be a challenge to maintain. Otherwise, 5psi on a smaller turbo on stock or lower compression could produce 180whp, especially without getting into the meat of the powerband on the GSR.

every engine is going to dyno differently. you could have a freak of an engine and dyno 160whp bone stock. yet the guy right behind you could come in at 140whp bone stock. also conditions during the run will make a difference.

it made such low power because your using lower compression pistons and you didnt tune it to redline , if you tune it to redline and crank up the boost with forged internals you can crush 400 whp if your turbo supports it .

show and go, i am all about both</TD></TR></TABLE>
I really don't see any go there, other than maybe the intake and header which might've gotten you a whole 3 or 4 horsepower if even that. But then the weight of the sunroof, subs, 17s, dual exhaust, etc. slowed it down to slower than stock.
