fuel pump
ok so i been havin problem like my car been turning off
while i drive and so i replace my fuel filter and i still have the same problem like i have to press the pedal like crasy now im thinking that it might be my fuel pump.
Now wat i want to know is? Is it ok to pull the pump out of a junkyard if so, how can i tell if its good condition.

you didn't mention what car you have but I'll asume it's an EF. first thing to check on our cars would be the main relay, that sends power to the ECU, distributor, and fuel pump. that's a common problem as they get old, also it can send power to the distributor and ecu but not the fuel pump, it's all seperate parts of the relay so you have to check each output.
the main relay is kinda behind the change tray, little bit of a pain to get to but not that bad. go through the manual and use their step by step trouble shooting for the main relay. here's a manual in case you don't have one, just use the CRX manual, for what you're doing it's the same...
