With obd1+, can you use stock sending unit location for autometer water temp gauge?
I've heard it both ways. Some say you can just replace the stock unit with the autometer one, as long as you're not using your stock temp gauge anymore..... which I'm not.
others say that with OBD1+, you have to keep that unit, or else the motor doesn't have a sensor anymore.
Does the ECU have a seperate sensor it uses?
