throwing code for injectors but having symptoms of tps failure?
91 dx
car is throwing code 16 (injectors) but jerking around a bit during cruising speed/partial throttle as if the tps is bad.
i've already replaced the injectors and tps, still same problem.
the car does not hestitate/jerk upon full throttle, only partial.
any idea's for what to check/replace now?
im guessing its another sensor...

Id guess you didnt recal the tps, and i bet the fuel sys code is a ecu error... thats my guess
the tps is calibrated correctly.
anybody have a dx ecu for sale?
if its cheap im willing to toss one in just to check that off of the list.

Main Relay? (AKA Main Fuel Relay,PGMFI Main Relay...)
When mine was bad, I threw fuel injector, throttle angle position codes, had some random problems like that..Swapped relay, works perfect...Seems to be a good place to start, quite often.

its not the fuel pump or filter.
it definately feels like it could be an ignition system problem, id just like to know where to start.
any other ideas anybody?
anybody have a dx ecu laying around???

The ECU will set a code 16 if there is a break in the electrical circuit for the injectors. The circuit includes the battery positive terminal, ignition switch, main relay, injector coils, lots of wire, connectors, and a fuse or two. Then the path for each injector is grounded at the correct moment by the ECU to trigger them. It's a lot to go through, but those are the facts.
