Default MINI-ME HELP

i was wonderin what kind of timing belt do i use with a d16a6 block and a d16y8 head i already forgot

i used a y8 timing belt and i was fine *shrugs*

a6 block, y8 head, a6 tensioner

yea i believe the tensioner bolted right up. not sure. i did the swap a while ago now. I believe the z6 tensioner is different than the y8 one. and the z6 one doesnt fit right on the a6 block. dont quote me though its been a while.

You're correct, the Z6 tensioner will not bolt up the A6 block, so it would be safe to say the Y8 and A6 share the same mounting package, just different diameter pulleys. I wish I had a Y8 tensioner laying around when I built my A6 mini-me.

Yea it actually came with the timing belt. i also have a new one ill sell. 15 shipped.

thanks guys. i ll post some pics of my car when i get done still in the shop just got painted its an eg. custom color. pretty nice
