As stated, loose power and shuts off, but will restart immediately, any ideas or key words to use to search this problem? Car is an 89 CRX Si, have had a problem with the alternator wiring recently but fixed that. Any help is appreciated because my 16 year old son drives this car and I don't want him to get hurt because of this problem.

 

well check with a volt meter how much volts your alternator is getting it sounds like a voltage problem. your alternator might be burned because it doesnt maintain enough current to keep the engine going. you might what to start from there.
