Default Turbo h22 build

I originally wanted to do an all motor build but for the money you cant go wrong with boost. My goal right now is 600whp. I will be sending my block away to benson, which is btw an h22a (closed deck). My question is should I increase the bore or will the thinning of the cylinder wall at that kind of power cause possible cracking and other sorts of problems. I was also thinking of which compression piston to run. The car will not be a daily but will see the street on weekends so I would like to be able to run pump gas but on track days run race gas.

If you're getting it sleeved then you can increase the bore quite a bit. Probably a good idea to talk to Benson about how big is still safe for turbo.

max bore on a turbo h22 IMO is 89mm you can get a stroker kit if you got the money also??? it will help in obtaining 600hp easy... but not cheaper lol.

600whp is a lot to the ground get a twin disc if it't not a daily.

i'm doing a 600 h22 built right now. i have all my parts but still breaking in and working out bugs.

you have to take into consideration too that 87mm pistons are gonna be primarily all youll be able to find off the shelf. 88mm and 89mm are probably going to have to be custom made. if you go bigger 89mm seems to be the max around here.

I remember reading you want a short stroke with turbo actually. I dont know how true that is.

i wish i knew more about what your turbo setup was... im doing the same thing but im using a rs machined block. 87mm je pistons, crower pro billet rods, stock crank... etc. to get 600 on pump gas out of a sleeved h22 isnt all that hard. but it will require you to get a nice manifold and a good size turbo. 600 on race gas ive seen done on a stock intake manifold. so it really depends on your tune/tuner also. just my .02.

but good luck and i hope to see it done.

Im not really sure on what my setup is going to be either. Nothing is set in stone. I was looking at the spoolin, lovefab and full race manifolds. I dont have ac/power steering. I was thinkin carillo rods. Not sure on the pistons or head though or wut to do with the crank either (if anything).
