headlight question

Default headlight question

i have a 97 ls my headlights are really fogged up and one has water in it.... how do i clean those and is there a way i could just get the outer plastic part and just put them on or clean them to look clear again

you can clean the exterior of the headlight using some meguires scratch x, removes oxidation on the headlight works really good

I have the same problem, so I took the headlight off and pulled the bulbs out. Then I poured the water out and put a hair dryer to it for 30 minutes in both "holes" . Since it condensed back up, I plan to take it off again and hold it under water to find the leak, then silicone the leak up. I hope this works.

this happens after every time i wash my car. annoying as hell. also i have heard good things about meguiars scratch x.

i used turtle wax scratch and swirl remover on parts of my car and it sucks.

i use megiuers mag and aluminum wheel polish on my headlights and other plastics. its amazing and restores them to new.

search ; theres a write up on how to clean hazed / foggy headlights. they even show u how to crack em open and clean em and make them like new and re-seal them w/o causing moisture lock and problems in the future

I used Scrach Off (i think thats the name) and it works real well.

edit: its called Scrach out
