Default what turbos are legal and not legal

I am going to buy a turbo either a 40r, 42r or some combo but witch one is legal in both ndra and nhra?

its going to a 2L built b series...

any input?
was considering a 37r as well
i dont want to be limited on power with my turbo so buy one the first time...

Simple answer: 42R if you want a Garrett.

Complex answer: What class are you racing in? This would kind of help us figure out what's the biggest turbo allowed by looking at the rules. (Note: As of this posting, NDRA 07 rules have not yet been released).

I raced in power street all last year, but was considering going to turbo street...then again i saw all the locations and i am not going to make to many of them in ndra so i was really considering a 42r garrett what ar?

The classes you listed are both from NDRA, no? The 2007 NDRA rules aren't out yet (probably not until later this month) so I don't know what their turbo size rules will be yet. Therefore... I can't really tell you which turbo to buy yet.

If Nopi keeps their rules for fwd as is, since NHRA has already released, then GT4294R should be a safe bet.

ndra sportsman classes so far have no had a limit on 4 cyl turbo size, but 72mm is the max for nhra so just get a gt4294r as others have stated.

yes...with a divided topmount it spools approx. 300-400rpms later.
