I searched, but I wonder if anyone else has this issue with their G3.
Alright. I drive a 2000 Integra, DB7. But getting to the point rather quickly, my Climate Control is weird. Does anyone else have a problem pushing the "heater/ac" lever from Blue to Red? Like as if theres something in the way or it just doesn't want to give. Sometimes when I try pushing it so I can have heat, it feels like if i push any harder it'll break and then it'll stay at "red" for a little then slowly push back to the interval between red/blue... does anyone else have this problem besides me and some other teggy owners? is there a fix for it?
go under the hood...look at the switch by the heater hose...there is a metal strip that sits on like a stub...see what you can do so it has more play in it
have you done anything under the dash or hood latly? Our climate controls are all manual, so there are cables that move the flaps to divert the air through the right ducts. If you have done something recently, there could be something pushing/pulling or otherwise stressing the cables, which can make it hard to move. I doubt that the cabel has broken off, because when that happens, it is usuially very easy to move the slider, and the temp stays the same.

I wasn't saying that it was broken ... I'm simply stating that the cable has somehow made it's way out of the holder. This exact same thing happened on my teg. The fix action is to push the cable back into the holder. It is a pain in the *** to do ... but that is the only way to fix it.

The most recent thing i've done under the hood was the installation of my power wire cable for my amplifier. I haven't done anything much more than that and replacing the battery. The controls have always felt this way though, which I find weird.

I have a 94 db7 and got the exact same problom, I am stuck somewhere in the middle and going from one side to the other is a real pain and if I pushed it all the way to blue or red it would probobly break.
I'm going to tear mine out and my first suspect is going to be the retaining clip that holds the cable in place. I would be willing to bet you got the same problem.

mines got the same problem, really hard to turn fully left or right, can't even turn it all the way to the cold side or i feel it's ganna break.

its pretty hard to push on both of my integras, and neither of the cables have popped out. i think that's just how they're made.

No, actually all the controls are electronic w/ servo motors operating the air flow dampers. The only thing mechanical is the temperature slider, which has a cable running to the heater core.
Mine is fairly easy to slide back and forth, with maybe only a little resistance. Check under the dash to make sure the cable isn't kinked or binding somewhere. If you stick your head under the passenger side dash, you should be able to see where the cable connects. Just move the temp. slider and see what moves under the dash, it shouldn't be hard to see.
