Climate question / problem...
I have a problem and a question regarding my climate control. In order to best describe these, I took pics.
1. I broke the left climate button that controls hot/cold. As you see marked red in this picture, it broke at a weak point. If you've looked close at one of these, you'd notice how thin that part is.

As you see in the picture, I am holding it together to bond with Gorilla Glue but I don't trust that stuff and I'm not sure if it will work. Been holding it like this for 30 minutes or so...
I wanna know if Honda sells this part alone, without having to buy the whole climate assembly.
But if you have one, PM me!
____________
2. This is the underside of the climate control. The metal part pulls/retracts the climate cable between hot/cold. I noticed the left plastic thing is broken (noted in red). That's the way the cable was routed.

Not a big deal really since it appears to have been broken and the thing was still working fine.
The question is, would it make a difference if I hooked up the cable to the little hole on the right side of the metal piece and routed it through the plastic piece on the upper right side?
I'm thinking that there may be a chance that it will blow hot air when it shows cold and vice versa.
Your answers are very appreciated! Thank You!

just buy a whole new climate control on ebay..i see them used there all the time for cheap...it will be easyer...btw...did that control move very hard?...is that why it broke off?
It's always moved a bit hard, since I bought the car in 2000. It never caused a problem. I think it's been broken because this is the first time I've removed it (dead bulbs).
oh ok cause man does mine move hard too...i tried oiling the little metal line and everything and rerouting the line and everything and thats what i am afraid of one day..is that i am gonna break mine off....
yeah my bulbs died too...i replaced them with blue LEDs...looks pretty good...

The glue seems to be holding strong. I took the vent speed **** and put it where the hot/cold is. The vent speed thing moves easily so I figured this glued up piece will stand a better chance of long term survival.
As soon as I get a job, I may buy a ITR piece from eBay.
I changed the light bulbs and now the whole thing works fine. I think if one or two die, they will all go out and flicker when you punch the dash, like mine did.
But now my climate cable is all screwed up, and I think I have to get it secured in place a little tighter so the wire inside can move more freely without the rubber going along.
Bunch a crap went wrong since last Sunday. First the climate thing, now my driver side door is hard to open, the windshield cracked from the cold, my left front turn signal is out and it looks like it's a short somewhere, my axle is making noise and I smell exhaust fumes in the cabin. Looks like i'll have a long list of little DIY projects coming up!
