DB2 ABS LEAKING OUT THE LID?!?!?!!?
On a long drive home in bumper to bumper traffic I started to notice a strange smell from the car and when I got home I popped the hood, there was a frothy mess of brake fluid pooring out of the ABS resevoir seeping from the edges of the lid. I don't know what this is from but the other day I did notice that the ABS was low on fluid and so I put more in it. Does anyone know what could cause this? I've never dealt with ABS problems before and this seems very strange. let me know.

Your high-pressure fluid reservoir most likely discharged past a sticking valve and overfilled the storage reservoir. Did the ABS pump cycle more than usual when you restarted the car? Are there any codes? (This issue will most likely not throw a code.)

I didn't hear anything unusual but its hard to hear anything on the car because the exhaust rattles against the heat shield. But i know what you are saying it would have made a bunch of noise but i didnt notice anything, not saying it didnt but nothing noticeable. there were codes originally (code number one i believe) but i think at that time it was low on fluid and since i have been replacing the fluid it hasn't thrown the code. its a weird problem and very frustrating. it could be the cap too but it doesnt seem like the only problem.
