extra high idle
did you say it idles at 6000 rpm? lol. sounds like your iacv is more than leaking , lol. i wouldnt think your iacv could let enough air in to make the car idle that high. your telling me you have no engine light at all when this is happening , lol? ive never seen a honda idle at 6000 rpm , lol , and ive been working on cars for over 15 years. thats a good one.
Mines been idling weird too. It idles fine after its warmed up,I'll be driving along, and come to a stop or push in the clutch, the idel drops down to normal, than goesb ack up to 1500 or so? wtf? Its annoying and burns gas up

mine does the same thing. idles at about 1500 when cold and around 800-1000 when heated up. sometimes a good stoplight rev will mend it, sometimes not.

Vehicle info would be of a help
But it sounds like it could be a vaccum leak, bad
program, IAC or something else along those lines.
Have you ever tried cleaning your throttle body?
Use a toothbrush and some chem-tool spray and scrub the inside
while the cars off and the throttle is wide open.
After your satisfied with how clean it is, be sure to hold the gas pedal
wide open and crank until the car starts and sounds normal (no stuttering)
to clear out any spray and/or carbon. HOpe this helps...
