code 8 tdc I replaced dizzy still no luck?
I have a 2001 ls and i was driving home the other day and the car just died. It would still crank but it wouldnt run so i towed the car home and tried to diagnose the problem. I jumped the wires to read my code and it came up with code 8 which is top dead center sensor. i cheacked all my fuses and went ahead and replaced the whole distributer and added a new cap and rotor. Got all excited and tried to start the car but it still does the same thingsand still throwes code 8. I did just switch my car over to synthetic maybe that has something to do with it(i highly doubt tho). Has anyone else had this happen to them?
