Tried posting this in the tech/misc section but there is hardly any traffic in there and I dont wanna put it in the eg ek section jsut for the lack of knowledge there.

Basically the speedo is not working and if it does work it is jumping all over the place without an accurate reading..
I know its my speed sensor but when I switched it out with a working one I still have the same problem..

If i wiggle the connector it will sometimes work and after maybe like 5 mins of driving it will stop working again. So I know it has to be a loose connection to the vss and the connector itself.

Anyone else ever have a problem where the connetor was loose and how I could possibly fix it.

I've got the same problem did you ever get this fixed? Did it cause your idle to bounce?

 

The speed sensor connector gets corroded after awhile and the terminal inside the engine harness gets green in color, change the connector if any of the pins are green or if it works for a bit then cuts out. What year car is this? alot of eg's have bad clusters.

 

Yea some douche bag on E-bay sold me a cluster that does that. I need to find a new one but haven't really put in the effort.
