Im about to pickup an LS engine with a b16 trans for my eg beater. Im gonna put i/h/e on it and i was wondering what kinda of 1/4mile times this setup might lay down with good driving? Just curious to see how big of an upgrade it will be speedwise, never had an "na" swap just turbo so im not sure what to compare it to
my current d15b8 blows assss!
thanks!

when i blew an old motor of mine, i had to put an ls in for a lil while(it cost me $350) to get the car running..had b16 tranny w/ short ram intake, headers, and 2.5" exaust w/out cat.....it was slower than the stock b16 in my opinion
i ran a 15.7 w/ the stock b16 at the track w/ just intake and exaust....

im guessing you wont run any better than a 15.3... granted i dont drag race. but my stock b20z w/ LS trans and intake did a 15.1... i was up against a gutted EF w/ the set up your asking and he did a 15.8

so what would a stock d15b8 run? i guess i would need to know that for comparison, i would guess 20 something?
I just want the car to be not_so_painful to drive
would it be better to get the vtec head for the d15 bottom end? would that be faster?

DAMN
Times were A LOT worse than I expected...
low 15's/high 14's seem to be the realm..I was thinking mid-low 14's POSSIBLY high 13's w/ a good driver on slicks...
wtf
Oh well, I don't know 4cyl times
Ha

hahaha! dude on the way from MD -> NY i had to downshift 3 times for some hills. Nothing reminds you that you have a slow car like entering a hill at 80mph and having to downshift 3 times to barely hold on to 55mph by the top of the hill
