Coil-over Comparison for 6th Gen
Looking for input and comparisons between the following coil-over setups:
Tanabe Sustec Pro S-S Type II
A'PEXi World Sport
Tein SS
Car is a 6th Gen Coupe
-driven daily
-spirited driver
-mountain road ***** on weekends
-won't drop it more than 1.5"
-looking for maximum control while maintainting comfort
-must have adjustable damper control (i believe all these do)
They're all priced pretty close together, so that's not a concern.
Let me know what you guys think of these.

i've heard tein ss are good for daily drivers. as a suggestion, if you wont drop it any more than 1.5 inches, you could go with eibach pro-kit springs with some tokico illuminas (adjustable dampers). save more money..pro-kit aprx. 200 and tokico illuminas aprx. 350-400.

first thing first, SS is overrated, the more people i know with SS the more i see how bad they are.
you don't have to trust me and i am not here to argue with this, search and you'll find enough post about it. even the FLEX tein on the s2000 is poorly design.
the lower end tein stuff is pretty weak.
I personally do not like tokico's damper, alot of people go with agx instead of tokico's adj. damper, but i know kyb do not have an application for 6th gen.
get the WS coilover if you could still get them, i got mine long time ago and they are the worth every penny, two piece bumpstop, 4-5 peices for each strut, the quality is superb. The ride is firm but not rock hard, I switched like 4 different set up on my accord and it was the best i had for the price i paid. But i do feel like it will be perfect with a tad high damper.
The WS do not have a damper adjustment* but it cost around 500 buck, that's 400 less than SS last time i check.
if you are spending aorund a grand, go get ground control and koni yellow instead, you just can't beat it for the price

I have teins now. SS and basic's both garbage. Valve damping just blows and the spring rate is too soft for spirited driving. Looking to get the Konis and Gc set up. I've read, reviewed, and researched for about 3 months and the GC /koni combo just comes out on top. Try the suspension forum, the road racers and look for a dude named Bad-Monkey on this board he's pretty sharp at suspension ???'s. Also horsepower freaks.com has the largest selection of suspensions for Accord that I 've ever came across.

I appreciate all the info from you guys. I have another question now. I really have no interest in raising or lowering the ride height, but I do want an adjustable shock. My last accord had Eibach's pro-kit, and I was extremely happy with them. Would an adjustable shock like the Koni Yellows work well with the pro-kit springs? I notice that the ground-control coilovers are specially made for the koni's when you order, so would I need to get some special bump stops or something? TIA -Jason
