There is no such thing as a Japanese VIN. They don't have them. They have a chassis code and a production number.

Why don't you quit being a dick about it and search. I found the same info by searching.

typing out your damn chassis code instead will get you better solid information.

Your not going to be able to tell if it's a sir-s or plain sir by the serial tag, just the year. You have to find features on the car to figure that out. Hopefully you did your research before you bought the car.

Ive got a parts manual at home, & I think it has a vin "decoder" but I cant read japanese. So to tell you the truth, I am not even sure if knowing the vin will tell you trim level.

Ill post up a pic tonight, so if anybody here can read japanese (cxshoe, maybe), hopefully you will get some help.

thanks alot guys, posting that pic or chart whatever would be great. the only features on the car that stand out is the factory moonroof, it also has power windows and doorlocks but i believe that was standard. oh also no lsd and no abs
here is the CHASSIS CODE EG6-1012212

It's a 92 SIR. If it has a sunroof it's not a SIR-S, just a plain old SIR.

Sunroofs were available all years, it's a second gen SIR or people sometimes call them SIRII since the EF's had the original SIR name. It's a 92 because the EG610*** shows it's a 92. 93's are EG611** and so on.
