hesitation after 4k please help
so i have a 97 sh with about 95k on it. when i rev it up to over 4k it starts to hesitate about every 2 seconds with a stiff tach jump slightly up in rpms. it does it in every gear too. my friend said it is misfiring but i heard you hear a crazy noise when that happens but i dont hear anything inparticular. it has had an electrical problem for a while and the honda dealership couldnt even fix it. the tach would jump like crazy when i got it real hot and it would hesitate some, but it was different than the new problem. they replaced like all of the dizzy and ignitor and what not. after that i still had the tach jump but there was no more hesitation. recently the tach hasn't been jumping but when i try to rev it above 4k it definitely has a problem. i really know nothing about cars so any help would be great.
Did you buy it from a dealer? Can you cover it under any sort of warranty, provided you did get it at a dealer.
Does VTEC engage during all of this?
Guys would crappy gasoline aid in his delema? Compression problem?
I hate to ask you this, but you did you 90K mile timing belt change right?

I bought the car from a private owner who already changed the timing belt. I dont really wanna hit vtec because of the hesitation, i dont wanna mess anything up anymore but vtec has always worked. I doubt it is bad gas because it has happened since my last fill up and there has always been 93 used in it.
