when im driving my 94 accord and i hit 3k rpm, there is this buzzing rattling sound coming from my steering column it soiunds like or near the center consol. any ideas on what it is and how to fix it? and yes ive tried reving it up to 3k and listen for the sound...it only sounds when the car is in gear and im driving it.

 

Are you sure it's not the heat shield on the catalytic converter that's buzzing?

 

yeah, could also be the heat shield over the exhaust manifold also.
