When i drive my 1994 honda accord and i hit 3000 rpm, i hear a rattling sound like metal vibrating near or around my steering column. this only happens at 3000 rpm for some reason. does anyone have any idea what this might be and how to fix it?

 

How about you try to find out yourself? Get under the steering column and listen while you have someone else rev up the engine to 3k.

 

you might also listen under the car about at the rear side of the oil pan; the exhaust joint there is known to 'buzz' at certain RPM
