b20V build...piston/rod/crank questions
can anybody tell me offhand what compression the ITR style pistons from RS machine yield w/ a b16 head?
also are there any cons to reusing the stock rods? i see a lot of people running them but havent really seen much info on how well they hold up...the motor will be professionally broken in and tuned on a dyno...are new rods worth the extra money or will i be alright with shotpeened stock units?
any special attention needed for the crank...i know that stock honda pieces are great but im sure there is more i can do for it...am i mistaken or is the extra work only needed for all out race motors?
any point to knife edge the crank on a street motor making around 220 whp?
thanks guys

and thats with a b16 head right? cuz i had the head resurfaced .005 and have flat faced valves...that would put me around 12:1 Cr right? a little higher than i was hoping for...is there any way i can get away with 12:1 Cr on 91 OCT cali gas?
do those octane boosters really work?

what about knife edging the crank? how necessary is this for a street motor?
should i balance the crank or the whole rotating assembly? i figure i should be alright without balancing since i will be using new rods and pistons but im no expert...hope someone will correct me if im wrong...
anybody else got any input?
