Default SI: I/H/E Sound difference, HP difference, MPG difference

I'm looking to stay N/A. Anyone have sound clips of the difference between stock and I/H/E on an si?

Also, what is the rough hp gain with i/h/e, and what is the effect on overall mpg?

Thanks!

I would say with a good I/H/E combo you can get anywhere from 15-30hp. I only have an intake and exhaust and the sound is a lot nicer than stock to me. Deeper and more threatening. Mileage is about the same.

I recently ran a 14.197 in my si with just and Injen CAI. I absolutely love it. i was powershifting/boostshiftin or whatever you say. The power gains with the Injen CAI are absolutely noticeable and the sound it makes is ****** awesome. And especially, the VTEC crossover is just amazing. id say go Injen CAi FTW. for header and exhaust i dunno...but id say injen definitely.

No way I'm going to have to throw the BS flag. You got a 2800+ lbs car with 197 Crank HP and no torque to run a 14.19? You must be the best driver EVER

I actually read about someone running a 14.295 stock, so I wouldn't be too quick to raise the bs flag.

I'm going to have to agree with you on that

I know people post timeslips, videos of them ACTUALLY running the times
however...

some tracks equipment is HORRIBLE...

for my area

Atco + island = broken down and crappy
Englishtown = "little better" but way more accurate.

Obviously mileage depends on driving habit, but the change with I/H/E should be the same assuming your driving habits stay the same. In general, does mileage decrease?

If you drive the same way and you add around 30 HP, in my opinion, it should not reduce more than 2-3 MPG I would think. But I could be wrong.
