Default Question about replacing block on SH

Hi,

Recently, my engine got messed up and need to build my engine again.
http://www.preludeonline.com/showthr...0&pagenumber=1
I have 97SH.

Anyway, I bought parts from here and there to rebuild my engine. And I bought block from base model. But I just found out that Base model and SH model blocks are not interchangable. So, since it's really hard to find a block, I want to keep the block. So, I guess I need base model tranny, but

do I need axles from base model too?

Thanks

u should be able to use the axles...i think u need a or some halfshafts because the atts unit on the sh takes the place of one of the halfshafts....and u definitely need the base tranny...u can use the h23 tranny i think but this will give u longer gears...keep me informed about what parts u have to get for the sh to base swap because i have a h22a1 that i am going to build up and swap into my sh

to put a regular h22a in place of the SH h22a, you will need a NON-SH transmission
as well as the intermediate shaft(if you need one, i have 2). The axles between
the two are listed as different lengths so I would go ahead and get the non SH
axles as well. Otherwise it should be straight forward.
