k heres the story,i have a 94 LS Integra. i was driving to school the mornin before Halloween and i was stuck in traffic.. and all of a sudden i saw my temp. gauge slowly start rising.. it continued this until the needle reached about 1/4 of the way to redline. and that was when traffic started moving again.. when i started drivin at moderate speed again the gauge went down a lil bit but not much and then the **** hit the fan.. smoke started comin out from under my hood like crazy. i pulled over in the turnin lane and onto some random street. i turned the car off and got my car hauled to my house. well i come to find out that my head gasket blew. and i found out to my dismay that ive had an internal antifreeze leak in my engine for a couple months. so me an dad got everything unbolted and we took the head off yesterday mornin. i could see no visible damage to the head or block. the only thing i noticed was water was built up on the no. 1 piston. ... my friends dad owns a machine shop and were takin the head to him today for him to check for cracks, warpage or anything else bad.. k heres some pics.....

Second, what is your technical question? Not to sound like a dick or anything, just curious...

Third, why did you wait almost a month later to address the problem?

 

bc i have 2 jobs and i havent had time and ive had to get tools here and there.. just a bunch a crap has happened.... i didnt really have a tech question. i just wanted some feedback on the topic

 

look to me like #1 piston is where you leak is on the head gasket, id have the machine shop check it out make sure the engine turns over by hand fine and have it inspected if all is well just put the new gasket on and put it back together

 

i got it back from the machine shop today and all the valves checked out ok, the head is not cracked or warped, and it didnt need to be re-surfaced. im so glad .
