is this a blown head gasket?
this is the deal. i bought a 94 civic dx for a winter car, on the way home it started smoking like crazy, then bogging and the the guage was pinged at hot. coolent was dripping out of the exhaust, but there isnt any coolent in the oil. is this definetly a head gasket? and how hard is it to change a head gasket? is it worth it after i drove it for 20 minutes with the guage pinged at HOT? or is it time for a new engine?

Re: is this a blown head gasket? (DewMota)
if you drove it for 20min with the gauge pegged then you could have warped the head. did you notice a loss in power. and yes the head gasket is blown by now.
i had a friend in a toyota truck that did the same thing and the head pretty much welded itself to the block. the guy at the shop couldn't get them apart.
