Whats up guys,i think i finally did my motor in(CP 12:5:1's,Eagle rods,stock 72 head with CTR cams)while running my friends gsr hatch...When i hit thrid it had a sluggish feeling to it,and now it sounds like my valves are ticking like hell...My question is i got 500 bucks thats IT,can i rebuild my whole motor with valve seals,rings,headgasket and all for that amount? I just wanna get an idea....Thanks

 

Do a compression test to check condition of the motor, then do valve adjustment and do another compression test to see if anything have change. Valve adjustment will take care of the ticking.

 

Did a compression test and came out 120,119,110,120...So i know my rings are almost non existant

 

They are all very close to each other? Did you open the throttle all the way when you did the test? I once forgot to open the throttle and my numbers where 50% of what they should have been.

 

make sure the motor is warm and the TB is open all the way
