Default Shock Assembly Question

I want to get Coilovers and Shocks. I'm not concerned on what coilovers and shocks to get. Is there a way to get the rest of what I will need to assemble this without pulling apart my factory stuff. I looked on hondaautomotiveparts.com and the SHOCK ABSORBER MOUNTING BASE is $15 - so that would be at least another $100 for just the other parts. Is there some sort of kit that I can get that will have all those parts for cheaper - or shocks that will come with this. Or should I just pull my old shocks apart to get the stuff I need?

Full coilovers aren't an option as I don't have that much money.

Thanks, Jamin

Default Re: Shock Assembly Question (Jaminak)

If by "shock absorber mounting base" you mean the top plate with with the 2 studs that come up through the tower, yes, that is the main part of what you need. Be sure it comes with the rubber bushings, metal sleeve and the rubber pad that goes between the spring and the plate. You're also going to need (4) "bump stop plates". Assuming the shocks come with the nut that goes on the shaft, these are the only parts you'll need to complete the buildup without removing any OE pieces.
