Default Would you buy used shocks and coilovers?

I have the opportunity to buy some used shocks and coilovers which were used for half a year, supposedly. I'm just curious if buying used suspension equipment is a good idea or should I just get new stuff? BTW, the stuff in question is kyb agx and ground controls. What would you do? Oh and I'm just going off of pictures here, too.

I would do it if it looks like it is in good shape. I think that one would be better off buying higher end used stuff than buying low end new crap if you were on a budget. thats just my 2 cents

if the shocks are in good condition and are hard to compress then yes i would. the shocks are the only thing that you have to worry about GC coil over wont go bad. unless some on beet them with a hammer

So are you saying that agx's and ground controls are crap? I know the shocks aren't the best, but this is my daily driver and I don't think I'd get the full benefit out of something like a Koni for my application.

KYB and Ground Controls are nice items, new or used. If the price reflects the wear and tear....go for it.

most struts/shocks have warrantys on them. If they are bought from a respectable company, they will have no problem warrantying them. With that said, just make sure the shafts do not have any markings on them, as that will void any warranty. Gluck!
