Default I really need your help guys...this problem is driving me NUTS!!!!

1995 honda civic dx. When I go to start the car, all i hear is a click coming from under the dash (like a relay or something) and the car does not crank.

Then when i unplug EITHER the neg or positive from the battery.....even for one quick second and then put the neg or pos back....the car starts perfectly.

Its annoying, every time I park the car, I have to pop my hood to get it started again!

Please help!!!!

TIA!

Does or did the car have an alarm with a starter disable?

ok i know your problem, because i work in a repair shop. please believe me and do as i say. ok because you have to take of the battery cable and put it back on is because the battery terminals. they are loose and cant get a good energy transfer at thatpoint until you mess with them and make them have a good connection, you need to tightin the battery cables. if you can not tightin the cables replace them. if it does not work then clean the battery terminals and titen down the cables.
let me know how it goes

Thanks for the reply guys!!! I tried the battery thing and it was not the problem...so i started snooping around by the fusebox wiring and lo and behold....an old alarm brain!!! I unplugged the cables going to the brain and all is well now.

Thanks Dogginator, you saved me a trip to Honda....thats how crazy this was driving me, I was about to resort to getting ripped by Honda
