Default Car not starting after a few weeks?

I was on vacation overseas and just came back today. I tried to start my car but it will not start. I can hear it trying to turn over but no response. I recently put in a system (subs and all) before I left on my trip. I don't know if that matters but I'm pretty sure I wired everything right. My alternator and battery are maybe a year old, the most. I was thinking that the car/battery might just need a jump. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I went to Autozone and got my battery charged. That did not solve the problem. My alarm, stereo, and radar comes on so I do not think it is the battery. I need my car starting by tomorrow for work. PLEASE HELP!!!

you can take out each spark plug out one at a time and have them still connected the wire and start to the car and see if ur getting spark. If u are not getting spark, then ur dizzy is broken. If you do get spark, then its something with ur fuel or even have water in ur gas tank.

My car is cranking, just not starting. There are also sparks from the plugs. I went to the junk yard and got a main relay. I tried changing that to see if the car will start and same thing happens. If something is wrong with the fuel, how do I fix it? Thanks!!

u can replace the fuel filter which is cheap. To see if the fuel pump does work, you put ur key in secondary and try to hear the pump turn on. Fuel regulator, injectors, or rail might be bad. Well my friend change everything on his car and it still wouldnt start. So we took it the mechanic and he said that someone put water in his gas tank and he had to took the whole tank out and clean out all the water.

Update: She's alive! I primed the fuel pump a few times by turning the ignition to the secondary position and to the off position. Repeat a few times. Then, start the car. The car started slowly and weak. Don't hit the throttle. I let it idle for about 5-10 mins and she's back to normal. Thanks for all the help.

hahaha now that i think about it, when i dont drive the car for a week or so and go to start it, it will crank over a few times(a good 4-5 seconds) before it starts up and when it does it kinda sputters. i guess the gas drains out of the lines and back to the tank? out of curiosity, how much gas did you have in the tank?

I had a full tank. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but I was afraid that gas might be high when I come back so why not.

If you let ur gas stay in the tank too long it loses its octane and ur car would run with clicking noise and stuff like that. Its a good idea if u put octane boost in after letting ur car sit for a long time. I dont know how long it takes for the gas to go bad though.

actually if you let the car sit for 3-4 weeks then that ethanol crap clogs stuff up. (assuming you have ethanol laced gas in your area)
