Default Cant Start! D16z6

I have a D16z6. I am having trouble starting the car. I thought it might be the fuel filter. I changed that and also no start. So I later decide to replaced the cap, rotor, ignition coil, spark plugs, and main relay. I dont want to keep replacing things that doesnt need replacing. The fuel pump primes when i turn the key. So what could be the next thing i can check?

you need 3 things to run

1) do you have spark. insert a screw driver into the spark plug wire and touch a part of the metal to the body

2) do you have compression

3)FUEL we know you have it

also check your order i do not have acces to my car but check your wires that could be the problem, that was a problem i had. then check your timing that could be another problem

it was running fine the other day. It was idling fine and before you know it, it started choking and just completely died off. I thought it was the fuel filter so i changed that. it still wouldnt start, so i replaced the ign coil, and spark plugs and that still doesnt doesnt work.

Might want to temporarily swap it with a known working fuel pump just to rule that out.

That's what it sounds like, I realize you hear it priming but that doesn't neccessarily mean jack ****.

At least T-off the fuel line before it goes off to the fuel rail and see what kind of pressure you're getting when you turn it over.

hey man you check to see if you have spark going to the spark plugs. If you already replaced cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and coil then the other thing you should check is your igniter. It looks like a metal box and it's located inside your distributor.

I would not replace any more parts until you can isolate the problem to either spark, fuel or compression.

Remove one plug wire and spark plug. Attach the wire to the plug and use something insulated like a wood hamer handle to hold the plug against something grounded like the engine block. Have someone else crank the car, (with the gas pedal to the floor to keep fuel injectors from shooting). Crank it for 8-10 seconds, you should see a healthy spark at the gap each engine cycle.

Good spark? Then crank the car over with the gas pedal at idle, you should see mist coming from spark plug holes.

You didn't hear a loud bang before it quit running, did you? Most of the time you can assume that compression is good.

If all is good check timing.

Timing is good I know for a fact before this incident, a few month back i did timing on it and its on 16 degrees.

As for the fuel pump, i replaced it as well because i had a spare good working one and try to give it a shot. The thing is that im working on the car by myself and have no one else to give me a helping hand. My friend is either working or on vacation at the time.

Loud bang, no. It just sputtered and died completely. I tried to crank it over again and it started for a few seconds and it just sputters some more and dies. tried again and it doesnt turn over anymore. I thought it might be the fuel filter, had the same symptoms when my fuel filter was bad with my CRX. This is driving me nuts

I am getting spark and fuel.

Well, my car overheated and the bypass hose burst and i had to replace it. So i replaced it and everything was running smoothly. Then before you know it the car started sputtering and just dies off. I tried to start it again but it wouldnt turn over. There was no check engine light or whatsoever. So i jump the ECU anyways, and the check engine light starting flashing. It flashes 22 and 6. I wasnt sure if the VTEC pressure sensor and ECT Water Temperature Sensor would cause the car not able to start. Could the ECT cause the engine to not start?
