I looked under my car and examined how to take off the oil pan. I know the first thing is to drain the oil, unscrew all the tiny bolts, change the oil pan gasket, and put the new one on. Is there anything else that I should be advised of? I mean, it seems too easy to be true. Auto shops was going to charge me $200 including the oil pan. Any advice on changing the oil pans would be very appreciated. Thanks.
not really i think u got everything covered, sometimes the gasket can be pretty tough and actually kinda glues the pan to the block had it happen to me, what a pain in the a$$.
I reused the original oil pan gasket. Just make sure you don't tear it when removing it. I then used Permatex copper gasket sealent and spread a generous portion around on the mating surface of the oil pan. No leaks. Remember to be careful with the bolts for the oil pan. It's easy to over-tighten and break off a bolt.

A new gasket would be recomended. They aren't very expensive.

I would replace it as well and not reuse it.

You guys mentioned honda bond. Do they sell those at the dealerships or at Pep Boys, Autozone, or Kragens? Also do I have to get a new steel-O rings when changing the oil pan? How long does it take? A whole day?
honda bond at the dealership u can get permatex at pep boys, autozone, r&s strauss etc... either one would work well. it shouldn't take that long to do the pan maybe a couple of hours tops for a 1st try.
