bad camseal

Default bad camseal

i have a small amount of oil leaking out of the cam gear covering right above/next to the headers n i think its my cam seal but im not sure.. anyone else had this problem???

that would be a head cover seal. Cam caps are only on DOHC engines.

like the name implies, it seals the head cover from the head itself.

yea but is there a reason y it leaks at the cam gear and no where else?

Did you put hondabond or RTV in the corners like you're supposed to when you put the valve cover back on?
If it's leaking, more than likely not. There's your problem.
Yank the cover off, clean the gasket of most of the oil as well as the head's mating surface, dap a small bead of orange RTV or some hondabond in the corners where your cam sits and call it a day.

That'll be $49.99 please.
