Default can someone help me ID this?


the cylinder thingy, it came off a 97 gsr head i was putting together the head and this was laying around. thanks

It looks like a dowel pin. If that is a valve cover nut next to it, it's probably one of the small dowels on the cam caps or the bridges above. Take the caps off and find out which one is missing.

is the little dowel looking thing hollow in the middle?

it would be the one under #3 cam cap.


or bepending on size it could be the one that lines the head up?

I can't see how thick the dowel is... might be one of the ones in the plastic timing belt cover, got mixed in with your head stuff.

WOW thanks for all the replies...yes it is hollow but it is not that big it is fairly small not as big as the dowl pin to align the head. i am a noob at all this and appreciate all this help!!

yeah it goes under the no 3 cam holder! once you take it off, you can miss where it goes!
