Can someone tell me what you think is wrong with my car???????
Whenever i get out of my car after having driven it, i can hear my coolant reservoir tank bubbling like crazy. It actually seems like the coolant in my radiator boiled and shot everything out and pushes hot air into the reservoir. I guess the rest of the coolant just bubbles out through the radiator while im driving.
Anyways, my engine burns lots of oil, piston rings are gone, pretty sure i have a leak in my head gasket, and now I start to overheat easily when i drive in high revs. My compression is at 125 all across (B18b). One of my friends told me that my engine is generating lots of friction and heat thus the cooling system cant function properly. What do you guys think could be the problem?

i asked my local shop how much a rebuild for my LS would be. He said 3800 freakin dollars for a rebuild. I dont know, if thats the case, then id rather go for a itr or type s motor.
i mean, like if your goal is to be really fast, is best to rebuilt the whole thing for all motor N/A, or ls turbo, is your choice, or you can buy itr/gsr either way is still good bang for the buck. but i can say from what you telling me you got alot of problem going.

since you say your piston ring is out, having a new radiator is nto gonna help solving yoru car being over heat.. building a new motor depend what kind of a build you want. try searching.. best way and make it reliable is to rebuilt the whole damn thing. or you can shortcut and try hmotorsonline.com
For just a stock rebuild done by you, it would be the cheapest option, but if you have no experience don't do it. Second cheapest would be to just find another motor if $3800 is the cheapest you can get, which I know it isn't.
dude if they want 3800 to rebuild your motor there crazy if you buy the parts ill do it for 500 and i can get u a deal on the parts b18b is the simplest honda motor out there but there good id say buy forged arias pistons eagle connecting rods and get sum head work ull be good
well your car overheating will cause a head gasket to blow out unless its already blown out.
IMO- just buy a b20 motor and drop it in. has good torque and is about the same as LS motor. It's pretty cheap!
$1000 max?

you answered you own question, the reason you have air or "bubbles" in ur coolent system is because if ur headgasket is leaking, air from the cylinders could be leaking through to ur coolent system, thus causing ur problem.. from the sounds of it, you dont know to much about building a motor.. my recommendation is to find a good used motor swap, maybe another LS and drop it in, whole thing should be less then 1500 installed. Rebuilding ur current motor would be a big waste unless you got a hook up at a machine shop for a full rebuild.

i see... thanks for the input. You're right, i dont have a damn idea on how to work on an engine. I wish i did though. And spending 1500 to swap the engine sounds way f***ing more reasonable than the 3800 the shop wanted for a full rebuild. I didnt know that a blown head gasket would cause the coolant to bubble up and out. My coolant loss is getting sorta out of hand. Im having to refill my radiator almost every time before i drive and its making me want to get a different engine all the more badly.
Does anyone know of any good places to get a good reliable motor down here in southern cali? My LS is a 99 model so I want to get a motor thats 99+ so i can smog.

A good mechanic can do a basic motor swap. I would suggest finding someone who does more honda/acura cars then just a general mechanic.
hmotorsonline.com... find any reputable ht member and he will help you out, rather then paying shop like 600+ for swap.
