Default fuel filter washer & bolts... quick question

i bought my fuel filter from autozone, and it came with 2 gold washers, which way do they go on the 15mm bolt? do they stack on top of each other? i can't remember where they go.

also the oem washers that were there were a little thicker then the ones from autozone, should i reuse the washers, or just use the new ones?

Your diagram looks right, but I wouldn't use the old washers because they are copper crush washers.

I dont think it's used where you have diagramed. I think it may be used on the other end of the fuel line, is it about half the size?

Here, this might help you out. I'm not an expert on this stuff, just had to deal with replacing mine a few months ago...

yeah it was really small, i figured it might not have been used, cause since i got it at autozone, it was probably a universal fuel filter for most honda applications, so some may have been different.

also, i have an injen short ram intake, the filter is dirty as hell, could i just go to walmart and get a cone filter? are they made any different?

ok there are 2 washers, 1 goes on the banjo bolt first then put the bolt through the gas line then put another washer on the bolt then put it on the filter heres a crappy diagram

bolt---washer----fuel line---washer---filter

get it?

and tighten it real good cuz it will leak if you dont but dont overtighten it

i tightened it really hard. i almost sorta stripped the bolt that goes to the fuel filter, but the one that goes from the filter to the fuel rail, was tighted alot too, so i just changed it, i'm gonna buy the K&N air filter clean kit, and just clean the one i have now.
