No CEL but ECU has codes???
Isnt the CEL supposed to come on if i have ecu codes? it was running funny so i checked 1,3,7 but no CEL??? i already fixed it but concerned about no CEL. thanks
sometimes if you have a malfunction and your light comes on, when you turn off the car and restart it, the light will no longer be on, but the ecu will still blink....mine does this, i get a cel for speed sensor every once in a while, but when i restart the car, the light is no longer on, but the ecu still flashes 17
you know i thought about the fact that it may be an old code that never got reset but i just reset my ecu by pulling the hazzard fuse like two days ago.....i have no idea what is oing on, i guess i may have to borrow someones ecu and check it out
mine too the cel didn't turn on but i had a code 3 on my ecu. i just replaced the map sensor and reset the ecu and everything is good now

Try this.... Remove your battery cables for a minute or so to reset the ecu, then replace the cables back onto the battery. that should clear the cades out of the ecu.

thats the same thing as removing the hazard fuse, the ecu gets power thru that circuit and if you break that circuit by removing the fuse, its the same as disconnecting the battery but without losing all your radio and clock settings
