there are some intake manifolds that make almost as much power as itb's but i think itb's have a better response,

Peak power, you can make more with a VictorX, especially if you do a little cleanup inside and use the secondary injector locations.

For a broad midrange, a ported ITR manifold like the Import Builders will make more power than the VictorX below 7k, and be on par with TWM's for topend.

Jenvey ITB's with 100mm stacks & individual cylinder trim will outperform most off-the-shelf manifolds.

PS, Don't buy TWM's.

the short runners only provide HP at very high RPM's while the rest of the powerband suffers

One of my favorite things about the TWM's is the ease of adjustment

A buddy made 246 on itbs 52mm then went with a jg manifold and made 252 whp

Itbs good for a k motor but for b or h go with a manifold..

for me it was kind of a toss up. i wanted the response from ITBs so go a set of homemade ones, did a bit more research and realized i didn't know enough incase there was an issue and if i can make just as much HP w/ a good IM and TB im gonna go that route.. to currently thats what im doing. i dunno how much help that was.. but thats my side.

your gonna get a totally different power band from ITB's when compared to a manifold, torque wise and power wise..

itb's all the way, you get a broader power band....depending on which you go with you may or may not have problems with them, its about finding the right itb's..
