Default ITR, CTR pistons and rods

i was just wondering what combination i could run in a B16 for rods and pistons. i know i could run CTR rods and pistons cause they come from a 1.6 but i was wondering about the ITR. someone was talking about running them in their b16. i wasnt sure about this because the ITR is a 1.8 which would give a larger bore and stroke thus larger rods and pistons correct? can someone please send me in the rite direction.

You can use Type R pistons on your B16A or B17A, but you must remove 1mm of material on each side of the small end of the connecting rod in order to have sufficient clearance where the rod meets the piston. Any automotive machine shop can easily do this operation. Info from Honda Tuning Feb/March 2002 issue, "Killer B", under Pistons. Good luck!
