Default A line of oil...rings gapped wrong?

i assembled my bottomend.

on the number 1 cly. when the piston goes back down a line of oil probally like a 1/8in thick or so,

none of the other cly. show this. are the rings gapped wrong? do i need a complete new ring set, can i get new rings for just that one piston?

btw they are OEM PR3 pistons, new, with new oem rings

i would check the roundness of the clynder to make sure it's not egg shaped and check for a possible broken ring. did you clock the rings right when installing them

can you give the correct clock for me, and i will tell ya if i did it right or not lol.

the block was a OBD2 JDM ls block with like 20k on it. i saw the car before it was pulled. i hope its not a rounded cly, but i do have a spare ls block incase

Could it be due to excess oil bewteen the rings from when you installed them?

that line of oil is normal. its just excess oil in that ring pack. if you gaped the rings right you should have no problem.
